About the event
This modern production of *The Threepenny Opera* by B. Brecht and K. Weill retains Brecht’s original libretto while rearranging Weill’s music to bring it up to date. The story follows Mac the Knife, a pimp and thief, who marries Polly Peachum, the daughter of the leader of the tramps. Polly’s father decides to have Mac sentenced to death, but Mac manages to escape and finds himself driven by his sexual obsession.
The theater company “Les Anonymes TP” presents this electro-opera version, which remains faithful to Brecht’s text while offering a modern musical experience. Tickets for this performance are €12.
The school matinee will take place at 2:30 p.m. and is organized by the theater company.
