The Notre-Dame des Dunes procession will take place on August 15, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in Dunkirk.
This traditional procession is led by the bazennes—the fishermen’s wives—dressed in traditional costumes, who set out from the small Notre-Dame des Dunes chapel and make their way to the Quai des Anglais.
There, a blessing is held, followed by a boat procession to lay a wreath at sea.
