Flobart Festival
The Opal Coast celebrates traditional fishing and the flobart—a beach-fishing boat that symbolizes the Boulogne coastline. This year, the 36th edition of the Flobart Festival will take place in Wissant on August 21, 2026.
Highlights include: sea shanties, seafood tastings, maritime crafts, meet-and-greets with local organizations, exhibitions, light refreshments, and demonstrations of flobart launches. A sailors’ Mass will be celebrated on August 23 at 9:30 a.m.
On August 23, starting at 4:00 p.m., a parade of flobarts will wind through the village streets. Admission is free.
